It's Sad

If you think it's helpful then I'd be open to the idea of warding off a dead man with you. I'll get this torch lit if you get your pitchforks and picket signs. We're going to walk him through the darkness and make him want to die. I guess I won't be going home. He'll sing, I guess I won't be going home. I feel like it's wrongful. No, I ain't open to warding off a dead man with you. I'm going to put this torch out in hopes that you put your guard down. I want to make that old man want to dance this one out.

I could shake my head, you could watch these tears fly. I would be upset, you can see why I want to ask all my friends to tie my body to the tracks and give them just one lonely hour to draw the biggest crowd they can, and watch, just like my father always said. If you can't understand my ways when you step aside, you will fall back into place. You can see why I want to ask all my friends to tie my body to the tracks and give them just one lonely hour to draw the biggest crowd they can, and watch, just like my father always said.

One of a Kind

I can't see how you say that you're hungry when you don't want to eat. I can't hear you talk about all those plans that you've made but that's just me. I've slept on couches. I've slept on floors. I've slept on beds and train porches enough to believe that there's a heart inside a chest that beats besides mine, but that's just me. So, I'll wake up tomorrow if I don't die. God, save my soul while I sleep? Either way, I'm sure I'll breath. I'm sure i'll think some thoughts but that's just me.

You call me pathetic for having a habit of seeing things that I do. You call me -- okay, can I call you to say, hi? And, I love you? Because, somehow and somewhere, there's a problem. Yeah, somehow, somewhere's a problem. You did it. We did it too -- but, this ain't about you -- like two birds shooting the world rather than a hunter hunting for food.

If my eyes could make a river out of tears, I'd cry. I'd only hope that you'd learn how to swim -- always, on it's tide. If that river helped the tree you planted yesterday grow a little bit more tomorrow, I'd only hope that you'd still plan on climbing to the top while I sing, I hope you find what you're looking for.

Thinking Twice

Oh, the butterflies became a stench that resembled death & I found myself in awe. In awe at the moments; in awe at the nights we'd spend sleep'n 'cause I want something else to come my way before September ends. Before October begins, I'm sure at least one of us will think twice. Whether it's an arm or whether it's a leg; looking through the void and thinking that it's better than it seems or rather the opposite, thinking that it's worse than it is.
